Google Algorithm

                                                                                                         GOOGLE ALGORITHM

The algorithm uses aggregated and anonymized interaction data to assess the relevance of content. The most basic signal for this is matching content keywords to the query. If the page contains an exact match, the algorithm sends a strong relevance signal.

HOW DOES THE GOOGLE ALGORITHM WORK?

To give you the most useful information, Search algorithms look at many factors and signals, including the words of your query, the relevance, and usability of pages, the expertise of sources, and your location and settings

TYPES OF GOOGLE ALGORITHM:

1. Panda

2. Penguin

3. Hummingbird

4. Mobile

5. Rank rain

6. Medic

7.  Fred

8. Core Updates

Panda

This algorithm update is an official release by Google aimed at addressing the presence of low-quality content in search results. Following the 2009 Caffeine update, low-quality content began to appear prominently. To counter this, Google introduced the Panda update, which assessed pages based on human ratings and implemented a quality parameter. Panda effectively removed low-quality content while prioritizing high-quality, user-friendly pages.

Penguin

Launched in 2012, the same year as Panda, this Google algorithm aims to enhance search result quality by promoting high-quality data while filtering out spam or low-quality content. An extension of Panda, it specifically targets black hat techniques that previously boosted low-quality pages in Google's search results. The Penguin algorithm aimed to elevate relevant, authentic websites while demoting spam ones.

Hummingbird

This update was launched on 22 August 2013, its main work is to show the query that query on the internet which may not have the same word. It mainly focuses on the intention of the searcher. So hummingbird algorithm is important because sometimes grammatical mistakes occur during typing and results do not show up so this was corrected by using this algorithm.

Mobile

The algorithm, designed specifically for mobile search, aims to prioritize Mobile-friendly pages at the top of search results when accessed from mobile devices. It was introduced on April 21st, 2015. Pages that are mobile optimized will appear higher in rankings, while those that are not will be ranked lower.

Rank brain

It's a machine-learning algorithm that operates akin to a hummingbird, enabling Google to comprehend and display the most relevant search results. Launched on October 26th, 2015, it stands as one of Google's pivotal algorithms.

Medic

The Google Medic update appeared to have a greater impact on medical websites and other sites involving critical life decisions like finance, law, and education. While not officially confirmed, Google representatives suggested that the update incorporated elements of expertise, authority, and trust (E-A-T) from the Quality Rater Guidelines document.

Fred

One of Google's recent updates, launched on March 8, 2017, targets websites that prioritize revenue generation through excessive ads and low-quality content. This update particularly impacts small websites and blogs that fall into this category.

Core updates

Since 2017, Google has adopted the term "Google core updates" to denote major updates. However, there has been limited transparency regarding their specific goals and areas of search they aim to enhance. SEO professionals typically monitor changes in rankings following these updates, attempting to discern their precise impact, though conclusive observations are rare. Google core updates probably represent refinements of previous updates or combinations of smaller updates bundled together.learn more
